Hi Ralph,
I have a question rgearding you blog entry: http://blog.devsphoto.com/?p=391 with the title “Linux IPSec VPN for Ipad”.
I would like to use my Debian server (Sqeeze) with a fixed IP address as a VPN gateway. But even though I copied your entry for racoon.conf I can’t get it work.
Would you mind helping me a little?
How exactly does your /etc/racoon/psk.txt look like. Mine is:
* shared_key
Is that right?
And where is the user data and password coming from? From /etc/ppp/chap-secrets? How does that look for you?
I am missing something to get it work and I already spent days trying to find the mistake 🙁
Thank you in advance and best regards
Sven
psk.txt is just my “username password” without the quotes ..that is where i store my password..
if you have another old computer,I would greatly suggest you just install PFSense. It’s much easier to do IPSEC on it than on a debian box.
